I am Giovanna Reda, coach and mentor. My  mission is to help individuals, professionals and organizations achieve their personal, professional and organizational development goals.

The secret of happiness is freedom, the secret of freedom is courage.

Tucidide

Freedom is a right

I firmly believe in the value of freedom, the greatest gift we have. When are we closest to happiness? When we are free, when we truly realize it, when we can deeply and consciously choose how to live our life to the fullest.

We all have the right to be happy. A fundamental right, which is realized and nourished by beauty, harmony, peace, respect. A great ambition, for each of us, possible only if we gain a clear awareness of our value.

This is my profession and the passion of a lifetime: I offer my contribution so that those who choose to work with me can fully enjoy this right, and thus realize their life project.

The courage to be happy

To do all this takes courage. You have to get involved, you have to trust yourself and the person who supports you. Don’t you also believe that fulfilled and happy people and professionals can concretely contribute to building a better world?

My greatest goal is the gratification of people, that happiness you feel when you manage to live your own personal and professional growth.

I am here to accompany you on a journey of discovery and fulfilment: together we will transform your challenges into opportunities for growth. With courage and determination, we will develop your leadership skills and increase your awareness of your value.

I offer personalized coaching and mentoring services in both Italian and English,
especially for professionals working in international sectors.

I was born and raised in Rome, where I still live, cultivating a deep bond with the city and its artistic and cultural richness. In Rome I studied, I graduated from the linguistic secondary school, I then graduated at the University of Political Sciences, and I obtained a master’s degree in Diplomatic Studies. I completed a second master’s degree in International Relations and Human Rights at the University of Cambridge, in England.

My Story

International Development and Cooperation

Since 1996 I have been working in the non-profit, cooperation, international development and humanitarian aid sectors. I have worked and lived in more than 10 countries around the world, many of which in humanitarian emergencies, political crises and conflict situations.

I have developed a great deal of experience with office start-ups, with the management of non-profit organizations, with organizational development, strategic planning and design. I have managed teams made up of people of various nationalities, developing particular skills in intercultural communication.

The encounter with the world of coaching

In 2009 I approached the world of coaching as a client, when I held a managerial position in an international non-governmental organization. I immediately appreciated the benefits of a well-managed professional coaching process, tailor-made for my needs.

I became passionate about the methodology I learned, and in 2017 I decided to undertake a professional training  in coaching and mentoring. In 2018 I graduated as an Executive Coach and Mentor in the United Kingdom, at the Clean Learning and the Institute of Leadership and Management. I then perfected my training with other courses, both in Italy and abroad, and today I am still engaged in  continuous professional development, to ensure my clients a service that is always updated according to the most current techniques and best professional standards.

Since 2018 I have started practicing coaching and mentoring as a profession, integrating it with my work in international cooperation.

I am a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and I comply with the Global Code of Ethics and the framework of competencies for coaching and mentoring of EMCC Global. I have obtained the certificate of quality and professional qualification of coaching and mentoring services pursuant to Italian Law 4/2013, and the international accreditation in Coaching and Mentoring by EMCC Global (EIA). I have also obtained the accreditation as Associated Certified Coach (ACC), by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

I was also a client, before becoming a coach, and I know well what it feels like when you find yourself at a crossroads, in a crisis, and you have to make a choice.

If you don’t know which path to take, if you find yourself in a conflict situation, if you want to advance your career but you don’t know exactly which strategy to adopt, then a coaching process, designed specifically for you, will be very useful.

Having been a client in difficulty, in crisis, before becoming a coach and mentor, is certainly an added value.  I bring that personal experience, that empathy, into my coaching and mentoring practice.
